Who you are:

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and have a keen eye for detail. This role is perfect for someone with a foundational level of accounting and finance knowledge who is looking to gain experience in the field and work in a collaborative fast-paced environment. This position will report to our Head of Finance.

Job Responsibilities:

As our Finance and Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for supporting Ketone-IQ’s Finance department through:

  1. Bookkeeping and Accounting:
    • Review Month End close entries for journal entry reclasses and accruals.
    • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  2. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
    • Generate various financial reports for management review.
    • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Compile data and assist in preparing budget reports.
    • Monitor budget performance and assist in identifying areas for cost reduction or improvement.
  4. Financial Analysis:
    • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making.
    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management.
    • Participate in projects to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to learning.
