At Ketone-IQ, we're revolutionizing the way the world thinks about energy. Our cutting-edge approach to fueling the body transcends conventional expectations, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We're the trusted choice of elite endurance athletes, special operators, and high performers across diverse fields – from cyclists conquering the Tour de France to EMTs working double shifts on the front lines.

In 2019, our innovative ketone nutritional superfuel caught the attention of the US Department of Defense SOCOM, securing a $6MM contract to power their elite forces. But our ambitions don't stop there. We're on a mission to disrupt the entire energy market, bringing our high-performance fuel to everyone, from professional athletes to busy professionals and active individuals.

Ketone-IQ is High Performance Energy. We’re changing the way people fuel and rapidly expanding as we lead the ketone movement and we're looking for a passionate, driven individual to join us on this exciting journey.

Who you are:

You thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments and enjoy bringing structure, clarity, and insight to complex businesses. You’re equal parts strategic and hands-on—comfortable zooming out to guide big decisions while also rolling up your sleeves to build models, systems, and processes from the ground up. You’re deeply analytical, naturally curious, and customer-centric in how you think about tradeoffs, growth, and profitability. You communicate clearly, partner well across teams, and bring a high-ownership mindset to everything you do. If you’re excited by solving hard problems, scaling what works, and helping shape the future of a category-defining brand, you’ll feel at home here.

What you'll do:

As our Director of Finance & Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting Ketone-IQ’s explosive growth through:

  • Strategic Finance:
    • Own and continuously improve the operating model and forecasting engine across Retail, DTC, and Amazon, ensuring assumptions reflect the reality of rapid growth.
    • Run Month’s End Close and forecasting process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to a tight timeline for closing the books and sharing out updated forecast by the 15th of the month.
    • Build standardized retailer/channel P&Ls that clearly show full gross-to-net economics: list price → trade → net revenue → COGS → freight → variable opex → contribution margin.
    • Develop and maintain trade spend ROI models by customer and promotion type (TPR, scan-downs, billbacks, MDF, EDLP, displays, etc.), using historical performance and test-and-learn discipline.
  • Analytics & Automation
    • Build and own a company-wide omnichannel Analytics Engine that unifies DTC, Amazon, and Retail performance into a single set of KPIs and dashboards and provides daily guidance on deployment of capital.
    • Identify repeatable workflows (month-end prep, variance flags, approvals, A/R visibility, trade tracking) and implement scalable automation with strong controls and documentation (e.g., Make/Zapier/n8n/Parabola and modern BI/AI tooling).
    • Deliver decision-grade analytics across channel/customer/product (e.g., retail velocity drivers, contribution margin, cohort/LTV, CAC thresholds, pack size tests, DTC & Amazon performance, etc).
  • Finance Team Management:
    • Foster a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement by providing guidance, coaching, and support across the entire company.
    • Assess current resources and progressively build, direct, and lead a lean Finance team that future proofs us from excess headcount in Finance.
  • Capitalization Strategy:
    • Evaluate and help shape the company’s capitalization strategy, including the tradeoffs and sequencing of working capital facilities, ABL/factoring, term debt, and equity financing, and how each option impacts runway, flexibility, and cost of capital.
    • Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and working capital optimization to support the business’s growth trajectory.
  • Accounting:
    • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure proper GAAP treatment of expenses and expenditures.
    • Maintain high Accounting integrity for effective audit preparation.

You might be a fit if you have...

  • Extensive background working at or with high-growth, omnichannel CPG brands.
  • 5+ years in FP&A/strategic finance at a CPG/FMCG company, or in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital with meaningful consumer/CPG exposure.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement workflow automation and AI-enabled processes to scale finance efficiently (hands-on with modern automation/BI/AI tools).
  • Exceptional underwriting and investment-style analytical skills—able to evaluate initiatives like an investor (unit economics, downside cases, return profile, capital efficiency) and make clear go/no-go recommendations.
  • Tech and data-savvy with expertise with Excel, Quickbooks, Power BI, ERP Systems, and other finance programs. You could show up to the annual Excel competition and walk off with the trophy!
  • Data-driven, quantitative thinker with the ability to think strategically and qualitatively in both present and long term.
  • Proven experience managing and building financial Operating Models.
  • High business acumen with a focus on profitability (EBITDA).
  • Process-oriented with the ability to identify, define, and implement scalable processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for health and wellness.
